Head of Design

WE Excel is looking for an experienced and visionary Head of Design to define, build, and lead the design function across the organization. This is a foundational leadership role where you will shape the company’s visual identity, product experiences, and communication strategy. Working closely with leadership and cross-functional teams, you will translate business objectives into impactful, user-centric, and high-quality design solutions that strengthen the WE Excel brand and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Design Strategy & Vision

• Define and drive a unified design vision across brand, product, marketing, and communication.
• Establish design principles, standards, and best practices across the organization.
• Align design initiatives with business goals and long-term company strategy.

Brand & Communication

• Strengthen and evolve the WE Excel brand identity across all customer touchpoints.
• Transform complex concepts into clear, engaging, and compelling visual narratives.
• Ensure brand consistency across digital, print, presentations, campaigns, and internal communications.

Design Excellence

• Oversee end-to-end design quality across marketing collateral, websites, digital products, UI/UX, and internal assets.
• Build and maintain scalable design systems and guidelines.
• Drive high standards of creativity, usability, and visual consistency.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Partner with Product, Marketing, Engineering, HR, and Leadership teams to deliver impactful design solutions.
• Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing design team.
• Foster a culture of creativity, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Hands-on Design Leadership

• Lead by example through active participation in key design initiatives.
• Set benchmarks for design quality, innovation, and execution.
• Stay current with emerging design trends, technologies, and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Visual Communication, Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
• 12+ years of professional design experience, including leadership or high-ownership roles.
• Proven experience building or scaling design systems, brands, or design teams.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating strategic thinking, creativity, and execution across multiple design disciplines.
• Expertise in branding, visual design, UI/UX, digital design, and storytelling.
• Proficiency with industry-standard design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or similar.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in B2B, SaaS, or technology organizations.
• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and product design systems.
• Basic knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML/CSS).
• Experience working in fast-growing startups or building functions from the ground up.
