Head of Design

We are looking for a Head of Design to define and lead design at WE Excel. This is a foundational leadership role. You wont just manage design, you will shape it. From brand to experience, from strategy to execution, you will be responsible for how WE Excel shows up across every touchpoint. You will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to translate business goals into clear, compelling & high-quality design outcomes.

 

What You’ll Own

Design Vision & Direction Define and drive a cohesive design vision across brand, product, and communication.

Brand & Storytelling Elevate how WE Excel communicates: turning complex ideas into clear, engaging narratives.

End-to-End Design Quality Ensure consistency and excellence across marketing, digital, product interfaces & internal assets.

Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with leadership, product & marketing to bring ideas to life with clarity & impact.

Build & Lead the Design Function Hire, mentor, and scale a high-performing design team over time.

Hands-on Contribution Lead by doing- setting the bar for craft, taste & execution.

 

What Were Looking For

12+ years of experience in design, with significant time in leadership or highownership roles

A strong portfolio that reflects both strategic thinking & design craft

Experience building or scaling design systems, brands, or teams

Ability to operate across brand, marketing & product experience High ownership mindset, you take ideas from zero to one

Strong sense of taste, clarity & attention to detail

Comfort working closely with founders & senior leadership

 

Nice to Have

Experience in B2B, SaaS, or technology environments

Exposure to UI/UX and product design systems

Understanding of front-end considerations (HTML/CSS basics)

Experience in fast-paced or 01 environments
